Mahakumbh 2025: Over 50 crore devotees have taken part in sacred bathing rituals and authorities are expecting the number to go beyond 60 crore as the Maha Kumbh has entered its final week.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and other dignitaries took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam at Prayagraj’s Maha Kumbh Mela on Friday.
Himanta Biswa Sarma was clicked with his family at the Maha Kumbh Mela.
Others who visited the Maha Kumbh on Friday included Rajesh Adani — Managing Director of Adani Enterprises Limited and brother of Adani Group Chairperson Gautam Adani.
Speaking to the media, Rajesh Adani said, “We had a very good ‘Darshan‘. We are feeling blessed. The administration is working very well. We came here with the entire family and we are feeling blessed to be here.”
“We prayed for the prosperity of the nation,” Rajesh Adani said.

Meanwhile, after taking a Holy dip at the Sangam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, while talking to reporters, said, “I am very fortunate to take a holy dip here at the Maha Kumbh. The arrangements were very good. I want to thank Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the entire administration for this.”
“Once again, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Sanatana culture has come up in front of the world. This Maha Kumbh is proof that Sanatana is the past, present and the future of the world,” he said.
The ongoing Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj is one of the most significant religious events in Hinduism, attracting millions of devotees from around the world.
The Mela, held once every 12 years, is considered an auspicious occasion to cleanse one’s sins by taking a dip in the holy waters of the Sangam, the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers.
Over 50 crore devotees have so far part in sacred bathing rituals and authorities are expecting the number to go beyond 60 crore as the world’s largest gathering nears its end on February 26.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said the Maha Kumbh will help the state’s economy grow by over Rs 3 lakh crore.
Speaking during the Question Hour of the budget session of the assembly, he said Uttar Pradesh is making strides towards the target of a trillion dollar economy.
